Mildura Police are warning drivers ahead of the AFL Grand Final long weekend that they will have a strong presence out on the regions roads.
Operation Scoreboard will operate state-wide over the long weekend.
Meanwhile, double demerits are in effect from Friday 29 September – Monday 2 October on the NSW side of the river.

The demerit point system provides an incentive for drivers to improve their driving behaviour, obey road rules and comply with NSW traffic laws.
The double demerit point scheme applies for the following types of offences:
• Speeding
• Illegal use of mobile phones
• Not wearing a seatbelt
