Fog Delays Flights, Affects Race Meet

The fog played havoc on flights into and out of Mildura.

One flight left Melbourne yesterday morning but was forced to return after it wasn't able to land at the local airport ... while another flight was minutes away from being diverted to Adelaide to refuel before a break in the weather allowed it to land.

Flights resumed as normal yesterday afternoon.

Yesterday's fog also played havoc with Harness racing ... with Melbourne-based stewards unable to land at the local airport.. meaning Mildura stewards took control of the Ouyen club daytime meeting.

More fog is expected this morning.
