Victoria’s rising road toll has police very nervous as we head into Christmas, so Mildura and Swan Hill Police are taking part in a Victoria wide road safety blitz.
Operation Roadwise is now underway and will run until January 1st, starting 6 days earlier than normal.
This year the operation will focus on offences including speeding, drink and drug driving, fatigue and mobile phone use.

One person has died on Mildura’s roads so far this year, with another death recorded in Swan Hill.
Police are warning they will be highly visible on the roads over the festive season.
