Darling inquiry

The mass fish deaths along the Darling River could become an issue in South Australia's royal commission into the Murray Darling Basin.

Commissioner BRET WALKER's expected to deliver a report by next month but could ask for extra time to consider the impact of flows to South Australia from Menindee in the Lower Darling where hundreds-of-thousands of fish have died.

NSW Labor's called for a special commission of inquiry into the mass deaths.
